Having A(nother) Child Changes Things

Check out this study via Marginal Revolution and Newmark's Door that concludes:

This paper provides evidence that daughters make people more left wing. Having sons, by contrast makes them more right wing.

I guess, at 18 days, the jury's still out.

    I have heard of this study, it was in the German newspapers also. Very interesting. But if I look at my family, I can only agree. A good thing to out in the box of "Things to Ponder".

    I don't agree--yet. I am definitely left wing and our son hasn't swayed us yet! He's going to grow up to be a great liberal!

    I know our daughter has made us more left wing (and we were pretty much near the tip as it was)..

    we'll see how the adoption goes and its a son.... and if we become moderate :)
